The Cocopah Early Steps program in late July distributed more than 100 backpacks and bicycle safety helmets to students pre-K through 12th grade. This year the distribution was done by way of a drive-through event that also included a bicycle raffle. The Cocopah Casino and the Yuma Regional Medical Center donated the backpacks. Indian Health Service donated the helmets.
