About a dozen Cocopah students on March 31 participated in a mock trial held at the Cocopah Tribal Court.
The mock trial was a joint project by the Tribal Court, the Cocopah Education Department and the Regional Center for Border Health. The scenario, written by the Illinois State Bar Association, was designed to teach students how the criminal justice system works and to convey an anti-bullying message.
