A draft Tribal Environmental Report (TER) has been completed for the proposed 60-MW Hydrogen Plant Project on the Cocopah East Reservation.
The project proposes to develop and operate a 60-MW hydrogen plant on approximately 12 acres of a 30-acre initial buildout lease area located in the SE1/4 Section 13, Township 10 South, Range 24 West, Gila and Salt River Baseline and Meridian in Yuma County, Arizona. Copies of the draft TER are available for review at the Cocopah Indian Tribe Administration Building at 14515 S. Veterans Drive, Somerton, AZ 85350.
The Cocopah Indian Tribe is accepting public comments on the draft TER for 30 days. The deadline is September 4th, 2024. Comments may be submitted to Jen Alspach, Cocopah Environmental Protection Office Director at alspachj@cocopah.gov or by mail to 14515 S. Veterans Drive, Somerton, AZ 85350.
