The City-County Communications & Marketing Association presented the Cocopah Indian Tribe with a Savvy Award for the Best Graphic Design Publication. Cocopah Communications Specialist Juana Gyek accepted the award on the tribe's behalf at the awards banquet that was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The award-winning publication was the Centennial Timeline brochure that the Cocopah Public Relations Department created last year as part of an outreach campaign commemorating 100 years of federal recognition of the Tribe. Cocopah is the first Native American tribe in the country to win a Savvy award and the first to be a member of 3CMA.
