The Cocopah and Quechan Indian Tribes celebrated a milestone this morning…more than 200 people showed up for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Fort Yuma Medical Center. This $34 million facility will provide healthcare services to thousands of Native Americans in the area and it will employ about 200 people. The new medical facility is located on the Quechan Reservation. It encompasses more than 76,000 square feet. The new medical center took about two years to complete.
